About This Role
Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited is recruiting a P-8A Pilot Instructor for its P-8A Training Centre at RAF Lossiemouth. The role reports through the Boeing P-8A Training Delivery Manager and Lead Pilot Instructor and focuses on simulator and ground-based pilot training for customer crews. The successful candidate should have demonstrable defence flying-training experience as a qualified flight training instructor, with large-aircraft, multi-engine and multi-crew experience; prior P-8A experience is highly desirable.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver P-8A simulator and ground training in accordance with company standards, customer requirements and Military Aviation Authority regulatory guidelines.
- Develop and conduct simulator and ground-school pilot instruction, and develop training tools and techniques to support customer requirements.
- Apply instructor-led training and computer-based training techniques and methodologies.
- Coordinate training, apply standardised teaching techniques, conduct demonstrations when required, and apply evaluation procedures and methods to meet military and civilian regulatory requirements, contractual standards and certification requirements.
- Evaluate and examine student competence in accordance with company and customer regulatory requirements.
- Identify and correct conditions and behaviours that affect employee, public and customer safety, uphold safety standards, and demonstrate proactive safety-culture leadership.
- Perform other relevant activities as directed by Boeing.

Requirements
- The role is intended for a multi-engine fixed-wing pilot, preferably with military experience, large-aircraft experience and multi-engine/multi-crew operating experience. Candidates must be able to communicate with personnel across multiple skill areas, cultures and functions

- and develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources. The candidate must have the ability to obtain UK Security Clearance, specifically United Kingdom Security Check. Preferred qualifications include serving as a B737 Type Rated Instructor (TRI) or Simulator Flight Instructor (SFI), and having successfully completed the Aircrew Instructors' Course (AIC) or a civilian equivalent.
