Duties & Responsibilities
- As Pilot-in-Command, the CRJ Captain ensures the safe operation of the aircraft while giving due consideration to customer service and on-time performance, supervises the other crew members, and holds primary responsibility for the flight, reporting to the Chief Pilot. Duties include responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft
- ensuring all pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight duties are completed safely and consistent with published Transport Canada regulations and standards as well as company policies and procedures
- ensuring all crew members perform their flight duties consistent with those same regulations, standards, and company procedures
- and any other responsibilities and duties assigned by the Chief Pilot.

Requirements
- Applicants must have 4,000 hours total time and 500 hours of propeller time.
- A Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) and a Transport Canada Category 1 Medical Certificate are required, candidates must be able to obtain a Transport Canada security clearance, and they must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Pilots must be able to operate company aircraft domestically, trans-border, and internationally without restriction.
- An aviation diploma or degree is considered an asset.
- Fluency in English is required, along with effective communication and problem-solving skills and strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
- The role also requires flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and frequent sitting, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling.
