About This Role
Kalitta Charters, a leading charter aviation operator since 2001, is seeking an experienced Learjet 45 Captain based in Ypsilanti, MI. This is a Captain position requiring 2,000+ total flight hours with 1,000+ multi-engine time and current Learjet 45 type rating. The role involves commanding charter and air ambulance flights with full responsibility for crew, passengers, cargo, and aircraft safety. The position offers a competitive salary with established pay scale and yearly increases, comprehensive insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) with company match, and a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off work schedule. This is a full-time, on-site role with excellent benefits and jump seat privileges.
Requirements
- Valid FAA Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating
- First Class Medical Certificate
- Valid unrestricted US passport
- Valid unrestricted driver's license
- 2,000+ hours total flight time
- 1,000+ hours multi-engine time
- Learjet 45 type rating preferred
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
- High School Diploma or GED
- Pass DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen
- Pass DOT/FAA compliant background check
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Available to work weekends, holidays, nights, and full shifts
- Must be based in Ypsilanti, MI with no work-from-home option
- Basic MS Office and computer proficiency
