About This Role
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a NetJets and Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary, is hiring a Lead Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream G600 based in Boca Raton, FL (KBCT). This is a two-pilot operation supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, operating exclusively under Part 91, with contract pilots used occasionally to support the schedule. The Lead PIC acts as a peer leader within the assigned flight department, emphasizing crew resource management, exceptional client service, and completion of flight department administrative duties while actively flying the schedule and fulfilling all PIC responsibilities. The aircraft is owned by a long-time, experienced owner who values precision, sound judgment, and professionalism in a refined, well-established flight operation. Strong preference is given to type-rated, local pilots.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serves as Lead Pilot in Command and peer leader of the assigned flight department while actively participating in the flying schedule and fulfilling all PIC duties, regulatory requirements, and company expectations.
- Leads flight department success: manages client relationships while balancing client and EJM needs, communicates proactively on issues and opportunities, works closely with maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance events and routine tasks (database updates, audits, checklists), and completes owner/account duties such as invoice reviews, auditing, vendor relations, charter approvals, and crew schedules.
- Supports and motivates flight department crew members, reports concerns to the Regional Chief Pilot, and handles administration including supplies, subscriptions, and crew scheduling communications.
- Ensures safe operation of flight: verifies crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements, completes flight planning, performance, and weight and balance tasks, leads Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefings, complies with company SOPs, acts as Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator, completes all pre-flight tasks and passenger briefings, records aircraft discrepancies, and monitors ground servicing.
- Applies Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) across normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Delivers an exceptional service experience to owners and passengers, resolves service deviations and conflicts, and maintains regulatory and company-required training, recency of experience, SMS compliance, and crew qualification.

Requirements
- Certification: FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate. Experience: 4-6 years of experience, with prior corporate/business aviation experience a must
- a Gulfstream GVII (G600) type rating is strongly preferred, along with an FAA type rating in the applicable fleet. Minimum time requirements (all stated as minimums): Total flight time 3,500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL) 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command 2,000 hours
- PIC MEL 500 hours
- Instrument 300 hours
- Jet 500 hours. Candidates must be able to perform the essential job functions of the position. Strong preference is given to type-rated, local pilots. Pre-employment drug screening and background checks are conducted.
