About This Role
Jet Aviation is seeking a Lead Captain to serve as Pilot in Command on Gulfstream 550 and Gulfstream 450 assignments from Burbank, California. The position carries overall responsibility for the safe, efficient, secure, and professional operation of each flight, while also requiring strong crew leadership, mentorship, discretion, adaptability, and customer-focused airmanship. The captain will support crew development, uphold Jet Aviation's safety and service standards, represent the brand with professionalism, and travel extensively worldwide in a demanding private aviation environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as Pilot in Command and ensure the safe, efficient, and professional operation of all assigned flights. Complete pre-flight and post-flight inspections, file flight plans, analyze weather and route conditions, and make sound operational decisions. Lead, mentor, and guide crew members

Maintain complete working knowledge of Gulfstream aircraft systems, manage flight plans, operate with precision, and adapt to changing conditions. Promote a strong safety culture by following best practices, conducting passenger briefings, and promptly addressing aircraft discrepancies in coordination with maintenance teams. Manage trip documentation, maintain aircraft manuals, assist with crew hiring, and represent Jet Aviation professionally in internal and external interactions. Act as a trusted brand ambassador by delivering exceptional service and demonstrating Jet Aviation's values of trust, honesty, alignment, and transparency.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and FAA First Class Medical and have five years of aviation experience.
- Required flight experience includes 3,500 hours of total fixed-wing time, 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command, 1,500 hours of multi-engine time, 500 hours of turbo-jet time, 500 hours of turbine time, 100 hours of night time, and 75 hours of simulated instrument time.
- The role requires the ability to work a variable schedule, travel extensively worldwide without restrictions, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and fluent Mandarin and English to support safe and effective communication with passengers, crew, and operational stakeholders.
- Candidates should also demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, collaboration, and aviation-industry skills, together with attention to detail and a pleasant, friendly, professional demeanor.
- A college degree is preferred.
