Jet Aviation is hiring a Lead Captain to fly the Gulfstream 450 out of Teterboro, New Jersey. The Lead Captain serves as Pilot in Command for assigned flights and carries the ultimate responsibility for their safe, efficient and professional operation to the highest standards of safety, security and quality. Beyond line flying, the role is a leadership position focused on mentoring and developing crew members, fostering a culture of excellence, and representing Jet Aviation as a brand ambassador in this global private-aviation operation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all assigned flights, including pre-flight and post-flight inspections, filing flight plans, and analyzing weather and route conditions to make informed decisions.
- Mentor and guide crew members to foster professional growth, conduct performance reviews, and coordinate schedules and training to maintain seamless operations.
- Maintain a complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems, manage flight plans and adapt to changing conditions to guarantee a seamless travel experience.
- Champion a strong safety culture by adhering to best practices, conducting passenger briefings, and promptly addressing aircraft discrepancies with maintenance teams.
- Manage trip documentation, maintain aircraft manuals, assist in crew hiring, and represent Jet Aviation professionally in all internal and external interactions as a brand ambassador.

Requirements
- Requires an FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and a current FAA First Class Medical.
- Candidates must have five years of aviation experience and 3,500 hours total fixed-wing time, including 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command, 1,500 hours multi-engine, 500 hours turbo-jet, 500 hours turbine, 100 hours night, and 75 hours simulated instrument.
- A high school diploma and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record are required.
- The role demands the flexibility to work a variable schedule to meet flight mission profiles and a willingness to travel extensively worldwide with no restrictions.
