About This Role
Jet Aviation is hiring a Lead Captain to serve as Pilot in Command on the Global 8000 based in Van Nuys, CA. Alongside flying, the role carries leadership and mentorship responsibilities: developing and guiding crew members, coordinating schedules and training, and upholding safety, security, and service standards for this private-aviation operator.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all assigned flights, including pre-flight and post-flight inspections, filing flight plans, and analysing weather and route conditions.
- Mentor and develop crew members, conduct performance reviews, and coordinate schedules and training.
- Maintain a complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems, champion a strong safety culture, conduct passenger briefings, and address aircraft discrepancies with maintenance teams.
- Manage trip documentation and aircraft manuals, assist in crew hiring, and represent Jet Aviation professionally in all interactions.

Requirements
- Airline Transport Pilot certificate and FAA First Class Medical required. Five years' aviation experience with 3,500 hours total fixed-wing time, including 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command, 1,500 hours multi-engine, 500 hours turbojet, 500 hours turbine, 100 hours night, and 75 hours simulated instrument. High school diploma and a valid driver's licence with a clean driving record required
- college degree preferred. Ability to work a variable schedule and willingness to travel worldwide with no restrictions.
