About This Role
Lead Captain role at Jet Aviation flying the Global 8000 out of Miami, Florida. The Lead Captain serves as Pilot in Command (PIC) for assigned private-aviation flights, responsible for safe, efficient, and professional operation, plus crew leadership, mentorship, and brand representation.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all assigned flights, including pre-flight and post-flight inspections, filing flight plans, and analyzing weather and route conditions.
  • Mentor and guide crew members, conduct performance reviews, coordinate schedules and training.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all aircraft systems, manage flight plans, conduct passenger briefings, address aircraft discrepancies with maintenance teams, manage trip documentation, maintain aircraft manuals, and assist in crew hiring.
Requirements
  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and FAA First Class Medical require.
  • Five years aviation experience with 3,500 hours total fixed-wing time, including 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command, 1,500 hours Multi-Engine, 500 hours Turbo-Jet, 500 hours Turbine, 100 hours Night, and 75 hours Simulated Instrument.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • College degree preferred.
