About This Role
Sanford Health is seeking a full-time King Air B200 fixed-wing pilot for Sanford Air Transport in Sioux Falls. The role joins all-captain, two-pilot crews operating company-owned and maintained aircraft and flying fixed-wing missions requested by Sanford. It is scheduled for 42 hours per week on varied 12-hour shifts and includes rotating weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage, with a strong safety-management and crew-coordination focus.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The pilot is assigned and oriented to Sanford Air Transport and is responsible for flying fixed-wing missions requested by Sanford.
- Duties include complying with applicable FAA regulations and taking direct responsibility for the safe and efficient conduct of each flight from initial dispatch through termination.
- The pilot must maintain working knowledge of the company Operations Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, Operations Specifications, Aircraft Flight Manual, and other requirements applicable to specific flights.
- The role requires effective interdisciplinary cooperation, critical-thinking-based problem solving, and the ability to respond immediately to changing environments.

Requirements
- Applicants need a minimum of 2,000 fixed-wing flight hours and 250 multi-engine hours. Turbine time is desired rather than stated as a numeric minimum, and post-secondary education plus previous Part 135 experience are preferred. Candidates must maintain instrument currency under FAR 61.57(c) or hold a current company instrument proficiency check
- hold a current FAA Commercial Certificate with Multi-Engine Land and instrument rating
- and hold a current second-class medical certificate. Pilots must weigh 240 pounds or less when fully dressed in uniform and be available for rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, on-call work, and shared on-call and vacation coverage. The role also calls for demonstrated pilot skill and experience, knowledge of the company Operations Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, Operations Specifications, and Aircraft Flight Manual, interdisciplinary teamwork, critical thinking, and rapid response to changing conditions.
