About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time King Air 350 Captain for an operation based at Monterey Regional Airport (MRY). The Captain will operate the aircraft safely and prudently while supporting client travel needs and upholding Solairus Aviation's standards of safety, service, integrity, teamwork, and operational excellence. The role requires substantial flight experience, including 2,500 hours of total time, 1,000 hours of PIC time, 500 hours of multi-engine land time, 500 hours of multi-engine PIC time, 500 hours of turbojet time, and 200 hours of instrument time.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the King Air 350 and for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner. Duties include reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status
- performing a complete pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- checking weather conditions, route facilities, destination airports, alternate airports, and other flight-planning considerations
- ensuring compliance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- protecting the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures. The Captain is also expected to be a standout colleague, work effectively with a hardworking team, and help meet clients' travel needs while maintaining Solairus Aviation's culture of safety, service, and integrity.
Requirements
- Applicants must have 2,500 hours of total flight time, 1,000 hours of PIC time, 500 hours of multi-engine land time, 500 hours of multi-engine land PIC time, 500 hours of turbojet time, and 200 hours of instrument time.
- The Captain must be type rated on the King Air 350 or a comparable aircraft and hold a first-class medical certificate.
- The position requires availability to work on an on-call basis and the ability to complete ICAO international procedures training annually.
- The successful candidate must maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KMRY or be willing to relocate.
