About This Role
Single-pilot corporate flight department role for Jaco Oil Company (posting hosted on Silver Air Private Jets' careers ATS), flying a King Air 200GT and Cessna T210 under Part 91 out of Bakersfield, CA. The pilot both flies the aircraft and runs the small flight department (~150 hours/year), with autonomy over scheduling, maintenance coordination, FBO/airport services, and regulatory compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the King Air 200GT and Cessna T210 safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with the FARs and company policy.
- Oversee day-to-day flight department management: aircraft readiness, maintenance coordination, scheduling, and tracking.
- Coordinate directly with company leadership on travel plans and scheduling.
- Arrange ground transportation, fuel stops, and FBO/airport services for trips.
- Monitor weather and operational conditions to support safe go/no-go decisions.
- Conduct pre-flight inspections and routine checks.
- Handle regulatory compliance and general flight department administration.
Requirements
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine, Instrument rating, and high-altitude endorsement - ATP highly preferred.
- Minimum hours: 3,000 TT, 1,500 Multi-Engine, 1,000 Turboprop, 250 in King Air 200s.
- Proven single-pilot PIC experience in cross-country operations.
- Complete knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation safety practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
