About This Role
Jetconnect is recruiting expressions of interest for New Zealand-based Flight Attendants operating short-haul Trans-Tasman routes from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, with long-haul positions based in Auckland. Flight Attendants are employed by Jetconnect, a wholly owned Qantas subsidiary, and fly as Qantas crew. The role focuses on passenger safety, customer service and wellbeing, with full training provided.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Jetconnect Flight Attendants are the safety-focused customer-facing crew on Trans-Tasman short-haul routes and, for Auckland-based positions, long-haul services.
- They are responsible for passenger safety, customer service and passenger wellbeing, helping deliver the Qantas customer experience while operating in the aircraft environment.
- The role involves serving and supporting passengers from a variety of cultures and countries, with full training provided before operating as cabin crew.
Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old and between 163 and 183 cm tall.
- They must hold New Zealand or Australian permanent residency and a passport providing unrestricted access to all Qantas ports of call, with at least 12 months of validity.
- Applicants need a current Senior First Aid Certificate valid for 12 months at the time of application, and must obtain a Responsible Service of Alcohol Statement of Attainment by the end of the recruitment process.
- The role requires a strong commitment to customer service, recent face-to-face service experience, demonstrated empathy with people from varied cultures and countries, excellent health and fitness, and the ability to swim 50 metres fully clothed.
- Applicants must understand that crew bases are located in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch.
- Previous airline or cabin-crew experience is not required.
