About This Role
Aero Charter is seeking a Jet First Officer to serve as Second-in-Command in Chesterfield, Missouri. The pilot performs flight duties assigned by the PIC, follows FAA regulations, standard operating procedures, and the company general operations manual, complies with customer schedules, and supports safe and efficient aircraft operation. The role also includes ensuring aircraft cleanliness and provisioning, reviewing weather and forecasts for the entire route and alternate airports, and preparing flight plans, weight-and-balance calculations, fuel figures, and performance charts.
Duties & Responsibilities
- As Second-in-Command, perform all flight duties assigned by the PIC
- adhere to FAA rules and regulations
- follow standard operating procedures and the applicable company general operations manual
- comply with customer schedules
- ensure the aircraft is safe and operates efficiently
- keep the aircraft clean
- prepare the aircraft for flights with all provisions on board
- study weather conditions and forecasts for the departure airport, planned route, destination, and alternate airports
- prepare flight plans
- and calculate weight and balance, fuel on board, and performance charts.
Requirements
- Required qualifications include thorough knowledge of flight operations, willingness to relocate within a 1-hour drive of Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield, strong verbal and written communication skills, Microsoft Office proficiency, at least 1,000 hours of total flying time, and at least 500 hours of PIC time. An FAA-certified commercial certificate with single-engine, multi-engine, and instrument ratings is required. An ATP Certificate, bachelor's degree, 150 hours of multi-engine flying time, and charter or corporate flight experience are preferred. Physical requirements include prolonged desk and computer work
