About This Role
CAE Canada Inc is seeking an experienced Instructor Pilot to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program in Moose Jaw, Canada. This is a non-flying role focused on designing and developing training courseware for Pilatus PC-21 and Grob 120TP aircraft for the Royal Canadian Air Force. Candidates must have military instructor pilot experience, expertise in synthetic training devices, and curriculum design background, with 5-8 years of related military flight operations experience and 5+ years of leadership experience. This is a temporary 3-5 year position with a flexible remote work schedule anywhere in Canada, offering competitive benefits including pension, group insurance, and sabbatical leave.
Requirements
- Experience as an Instructor Pilot within the RCAF or comparable military training environment
- Expertise with synthetic training devices and multimedia-supported training
- Experience in curriculum design and/or training program management
- Familiarity with high-performance, single-engine turboprop trainers (Pilatus PC-21, Grob 120TP)
- Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant field
- Ability to obtain and maintain Level I security clearance
- Strong collaboration skills for working with IPT/TDT teams, ISDs, and customer stakeholders
- 5-8 years of job-related experience within military flight operations
- 5+ years of leadership experience
