About This Role
Air Wisconsin is hiring an Inflight Domicile Manager based in Milwaukee to lead and support the flight attendants assigned to the domicile. Reporting to the Senior Director of Inflight, the manager handles day-to-day flight attendant matters, supervision, coaching and discipline, records, budget and union liaison in line with company policy and DOT/FAA regulations, and serves as the primary Inflight contact for the partner airline at the base. The role also requires maintaining currency as a line flight attendant and as an IOE (Initial Operation Experience) Instructor, participating in the Inflight management on-call rotation, and performing observation flights as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Promote and foster a safe and secure operating environment. Supervise flight attendants based in the assigned domicile and provide counsel and guidance on flight attendant matters, including participating in the Inflight management on-call rotation to handle questions and issues outside normal business hours. Act as a liaison with local regulatory agencies (Airport Authority, TSA, local law enforcement) and as the primary contact for the partner airline on Inflight issues at the domicile. Maintain flight attendant records and paperwork — IDs, parking, daily operations and workers' compensation — and manage leaves of absence. Monitor day-to-day operations and performance of the flight attendant group
- liaise with local union officials and committees
- and administer the collective bargaining agreement, attendance/reliability program and company policies. Serve as a Go-team member per Air Wisconsin's Emergency Procedure Manual and participate in event review calls to ensure proper incident handling and follow-up. Own the domicile budget and monthly variance reporting, assist with recruiting and selecting new flight attendants, and work with caterers on onboard product/commissary needs. Maintain proficiency as a line flight attendant and currency as an IOE (Initial Operation Experience) Instructor, and support the company's aircraft cleaning initiative through task-team involvement and aircraft audit and reporting. Coach and apply disciplinary action on attendance, delays, reliability and policy violations
- participate in daily operation calls and in daily and weekly calls with the partner airline
- and schedule, train and assign tasks for Ambassadors. Host celebrations for milestone anniversaries, holidays and Flight Attendant Appreciation Day
- complete signatory training and maintain an active SIDA badge and signatory status
- remain available to the domicile's flight attendants by email, text, phone and in person
- and perform observation flights on flight attendants as needed.
Requirements
- Required: 1-2 years of flight attendant experience, and the candidate must currently be — or be able to become — Inflight qualified. Ability to communicate fluently in English. Judgement and initiative to set priorities, solve problems with catering vendors, determine qualified candidates for vacancies and coordinate subordinates' work. Preferred: a Bachelor's degree, plus problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, organizational and time-management skills. The role supervises flight attendants within the assigned domicile.
