About This Role
Jet Access is seeking an Indiana-based First Officer to serve as an essential crewmember across its diverse managed and charter aircraft fleet. Based at Indianapolis and requiring local availability in central Indiana, the role supports safe, compliant, and high-quality private aviation operations alongside Captains, dispatch, maintenance, scheduling, and other flight operations personnel. The First Officer contributes to flight planning, aircraft operation, client service, documentation, safety programs, aircraft stewardship, and positioning or ferry assignments while developing the professional foundation for long-term advancement in private aviation. The position includes domestic and international travel, extended trips, variable scheduling, on-call periods, and regular in-person work at assigned airports and charter departure points.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct aircraft operations and related assignments in accordance with the Flight Operations Manual and company policies while complying with flight and duty-time limitations and rest requirements. Maintain proficiency and currency as a required crewmember on assigned aircraft types. Coordinate with the assigned Captain on pre-flight planning, weather analysis, NOTAM review, and all other flight preparation activities, and assist with flight-related duties, crew resource management, and emergency procedures. Participate in required training, recertification, and recurrent proficiency events, and collaborate with Captains, flight operations staff, dispatch, scheduling, and maintenance personnel to support safe, coordinated operations. Contribute to the safety culture through hazard identification, honest reporting, active safety-program participation, and consistent application of crew resource management during flight and ground operations. Maintain knowledge of FAR Part 135 and Part 91 requirements and applicable FAA, ICAO, and international regulations. Complete accurate flight documentation, trip records, and required paperwork on time, and support audit readiness under ARGUS, Wyvern, and IS-BAO frameworks. Conduct post-flight walkarounds, report discrepancies, coordinate corrective action with maintenance, and maintain aircraft appearance, interior condition, and cleanliness between flights in line with owner and client expectations. Support aircraft positioning, ferry flights, and repositioning assignments, monitor aircraft systems throughout flight, promptly communicate anomalies to the Captain and maintenance, and complete special projects or other initiatives that support Jet Access's growth.
What We Offer

Requirements
- Applicants must have at least 1,500 hours of total flying time, 500 hours of Pilot-in-Command total time, and a current jet type rating with flight experience. A Commercial Multi-Engine and Instrument Rating is required, while ATP Certification is strongly preferred. Candidates must hold a current Second Class Medical Certificate renewed every 12 months
- a First Class Medical Certificate is preferred. Initial or recurrent training on the assigned aircraft type must have been completed within the preceding 12 months. The role requires working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135 and Part 91 operations, as well as a thorough understanding of FAA, ICAO, and international flight operations regulations relevant to assigned routes. Candidates should be proficient with digital flight planning tools, avionics systems, and web-based or mobile flight applications. Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening is required, together with strong alignment with Jet Access core values and a genuine commitment to safety and operational excellence. The position requires local availability in central Indiana, regular in-person presence at assigned base airports and charter departure points, domestic and international travel, extended overnight or multi-day assignments, evening and weekend availability, and participation in on-call periods. Applicants must have a valid state driver's license for airport ground transportation and aircraft repositioning support, the physical stamina to manage extended flight duty periods and variable environmental conditions, and the ability to meet FAA medical and physical standards for Part 135 commercial operations.
