About This Role
GTA Air is recruiting a pilot based at IAD in Washington, DC to operate Bonanza and Baron aircraft on package-focused flying rather than passenger service. The position calls for strong IFR proficiency, comfort operating in complex airspace, and the ability to work safely through varied weather conditions. Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate Bonanza and Baron aircraft from the IAD/Washington, DC base to fly packages rather than people.
- The role requires maintaining sharp IFR skills, operating comfortably in complex airspace, and handling a variety of weather situations while providing professional cargo flying in the company's relaxed work atmosphere.
- The pilot must also be able to meet the stated 1-hour Wheels Up Time and manage the position's demanding physical requirements, including lifting 75 pounds or more.
What We Offer
Compensation includes a $60,000 salary, plus $20,000 for an IAD base, and an annual bonus typically ranging from $1,000 to $9,000.GTA Air offers health, dental, and vision insurance, paid company holidays, and vacation and sick time accrued annually.
Requirements
- Applicants must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate and Instrument Rating, with 1,200 hours of total flight time, 500 hours of cross-country time, 100 hours of night time, and 75 hours of instrument time, including 50 hours in actual flight.
- Candidates must be able to comply with PRIA and DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations, lift 75 pounds or more, handle the demanding physical requirements of the position, hold a valid driver's license, and have the right to work in the United States.
