About This Role
Talon Air is recruiting a Captain for an international Gulfstream GV position. The Part 135 operator is headquartered in Farmingdale, NY, has operated for over 25 years, and runs a fleet of 40+ aircraft including Global 6000/5000, Gulfstream 550/450, GV, G-IVSP, Challenger 604/605, Challenger 3500, Falcon 2000, Hawker 4000, G200, and Citation platforms. The aircraft performs worldwide Part 91 owner flying and Part 135 charter operations; most pilots are home-based and airline to/from the aircraft for each rotation. Talon Air offers mobility across the fleet and opportunities to move into check airman and other leadership roles, with pilots not locked into one seat or type unless they want to be. The package states $230,000+ total compensation, full benefits including a 401k match, medical, dental and vision, and a consistent 12/8 schedule. A GV type rating is preferred, but other highly qualified Captains with large-cabin international experience will be considered.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform safe and efficient flight operations for domestic and international trip assignments under 14 CFR Part 91 and Part 135 regulations while maintaining a high level of customer service. Maintain a high degree of crew coordination and perform duties in a professional, efficient and cordial manner at all times. Provide an exceptional experience for the aircraft owner and passengers while representing Talon Air professionally. Greet passengers and assist with passenger seating and luggage storage
- conduct passenger briefings
- and respond to passenger requests and needs. Adhere to the duties and responsibilities stated in all company procedures manuals. Maintain a current First Class Medical certificate as required by Talon Air policy, and notify the company if a physical or mental medical condition may impair the ability to perform flight duties. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Education and experience qualifications specify an ATP, 3500+ total time, 1000+ multi-engine time and 750+ PIC time. Large-cabin experience is preferred, as are international operational experience and Part 135 experience. A GV type rating is preferred
- however, other highly qualified Captains with large-cabin international experience will be considered. The listed qualifications also include an FAA First Class Medical and a valid passport. Required skills include being a team player and working well in a team environment
- working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135 and Part 91
- thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and international flight operations regulations
- strong organizational skills and advanced multitasking abilities
- strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- and computer skills necessary to operate word processing, iPads, email, and web/mobile applications.
