About This Role
Solairus Aviation is recruiting a full-time Gulfstream G600 Captain for an operation at KBFI, Boeing Field, in Seattle. The role is responsible for the safe and prudent operation of the aircraft in a private-aviation environment, including maintenance-status review, pre-flight preparation, weather and airport checks, compliance with Solairus procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, passenger and crew safety, and accurate trip paperwork. The posting requires substantial flight experience, a G600 or comparable type rating, a first-class medical, annual ICAO International Procedures training, on-call availability, and residence within a 2-hour drive of KBFI or willingness to relocate; it also advertises a $50,000 to $500,000 crewmember pay range that varies by market and assignment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Gulfstream G600 and for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner. Duties include reviewing the aircraft maintenance status
- conducting a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- checking weather and facilities along the planned route and at airports to be used, including alternate airports
- ensuring compliance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- ensuring the safety of all passengers, the aircraft, and the crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.

Requirements
- The qualifications list 3,000 hours total time, 1,500 hours PIC, 1,500 hours multi-engine land (MEL), 500 hours MEL PIC, 500 hours turbojet time, and 250 hours instrument time.
- The candidate must be type rated on the Gulfstream G600 or a comparable aircraft and hold a first-class medical.
- The Captain must be able to work on an on-call basis, complete ICAO International Procedures training annually, and have a primary residence within a 2-hour drive of KBFI or be willing to relocate.
