About This Role
Solairus Aviation is hiring a full-time Gulfstream G500 Captain for a corporate flight operation based at Orlando (KMCO) or KDJT in Florida. The Captain holds command responsibility for the safe, prudent operation of the G500, working within Solairus's culture of safety, service, and integrity to meet clients' travel needs. The position is on-call and requires the pilot to live within a two-hour drive of the assigned base or be willing to relocate.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Gulfstream G500 and for conducting every flight in a safe and prudent manner. Duties include reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft
- performing a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- completing a full check of weather and facilities along the route and at the airports used, including alternates
- ensuring each flight is conducted in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- ensuring the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
Requirements
- Applicants must have a minimum of 3,000 hours total time, 1,500 hours PIC, 1,500 hours multi-engine land (MEL), 500 hours MEL PIC, 500 hours in turbojet aircraft, and 250 hours instrument time.
- Candidates must be type rated on the Gulfstream G500 or a comparable aircraft and hold a first-class medical certificate.
- The role requires availability to work on an on-call basis, annual completion of ICAO international procedures training, and a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KMCO or KDJT (or a willingness to relocate).
