About This Role
Aero — a premium air-travel company operating flights through private terminals — is hiring an experienced Gulfstream G-IV First Officer (SIC), based at Opa-Locka Executive Airport (OPF), Florida. Aero frames its pilots as both operators of the aircraft and leaders within the wider operation, emphasizing safety, professionalism, and passion for delivering an elevated customer experience. The role flies to destinations across the globe on variable shifts and calls for someone who can anticipate needs, plan, and execute in collaboration with the rest of the team. It requires an FAA ATP, a current G-IV type rating, and substantial jet and PIC experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Set a high standard for providing customers with safe and reliable travel
- handle a wide variety of situations while working with fellow team members and customers

- provide leadership by responding to a variety of emergency and non-emergency situations
- and work in climates and locations across the globe on variable shifts.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills with quick, accurate decision-making and close attention to detail. Must hold a Gulfstream G-IV type rating and an FAA ATP license. Minimum flight experience: 2,000 hours total time, 1,000 hours turbojet, 500 hours PIC, and 100 hours time in type on the G-IV. At least one year of Part 135 and/or Part 121 experience is required. Applicants must be able to work varying hours, including day or night, weekends and holidays
- pass TSA criminal background checks (CHRC)
- and be able to learn and work with PEDs. A valid FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit and a valid First Class Medical Certificate are required. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, able to travel unrestricted to all destinations Aero flies to, and hold a valid passport and documentation allowing re-entry into the United States after an international flight. As a DOT safety-sensitive position under 14 CFR part 120 and 49 CFR part 40, all prospective employees are subject to pre-employment drug testing (marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, opioids, and phencyclidine).
