About This Role
Contour Aviation seeks a Ground School Instructor to deliver ERJ 135/145 aircraft and company-specific ground training for Part 135 pilot training program. The role involves classroom instruction, exam administration, knowledge assessment, and coordination with training and flight standards teams to ensure pilot qualification and standardization.
Requirements
  • At least 23 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Must understand, read, and write English
  • Polished and professional interpersonal skills with positive attitude and customer-oriented mindset
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Well-developed people skills and ability to work with variety of personalities
  • Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Able to handle interruptions and fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to motivate others
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal delivered with tact and professionalism
  • Pass DOT required pre-employment drug screen
  • Pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests
  • Pass required 10-year work history review
  • Pass criminal background and fingerprint checks
  • Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, and related software
  • Able to work in safe professional manner adhering to OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations
  • Commercial Pilot certificate with instrument rating
  • Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, and evaluate pilot knowledge to consistent standard
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • FAA Instructor Certificate or equivalent preferred
  • Experience or knowledge of turbine aircraft systems preferred
  • ERJ operational experience and/or prior ground instructor experience (121/135) preferred
  • Experience developing or maintaining courseware (PPTs, lesson plans, examinations, study guides) preferred
  • Leadership/mentorship and/or training program development experience preferred
