About This Role
Envoy Air is hiring a Ground School Instructor for its Flight Operations department, based in Irving, TX. The role delivers initial and recurrent ground training to pilots, working from the Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM) and Flight Manual, and leads classroom instruction across aircraft systems, hazardous materials, general operations, crew resource management, and emergency training. The instructor also develops courseware and instructional media for the ground training programs. It is a full-time position that requires working knowledge of large aircraft systems and airline flight operations rather than a pilot licence or logged flight hours.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and recurrent pilot ground training under the guidance of the Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM) and Flight Manual.
- Lead classes through subjects including aircraft systems, hazardous materials, general operations, crew resource management, and emergency training.
- Develop courseware and other instructional media for all ground training programs.
- Work effectively in a team environment, prioritizing work and projects to meet competing deadlines set by team members.
- Show initiative and apply critical thinking skills.
- Work with minimal supervision, report to work regularly and on time, and remain self-motivated.

Requirements
- minimum age of 18
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- working knowledge and experience of large aircraft systems and airline flight operations
- willing and able to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, and days off
- demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
- and the legal right to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- previous line experience as a flight crew member
- previous instructional and/or training experience
- proficiency with Microsoft products such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- college coursework or a college degree
- proven experience building constructive, effective relationships with internal and external customers
- and strong organizational and interpersonal oral and written skills.
