About This Role
GlobalX is seeking a Ground Flight Instructor, Flight Operations, based in Miami, to deliver pilot initial qualification, recurrent, captain upgrade, and requalification training. The role conducts instruction in classrooms, emergency training mock-ups, and flight training devices, with emphasis on A320 procedures, aircraft systems, performance and limitations, crew resource management, leadership, and mentorship. The instructor also supports courseware development, training projects, simulator sessions, and continuous improvement of the training program.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction for GlobalX pilot initial qualification, recurrent, captain upgrade, and requalification curricula.
- Conduct initial new-hire training covering basic company induction, general subjects, emergency training and drills, and A320 normal, abnormal, and emergency procedures, aircraft systems integration, performance, and limitations.
- Provide recurrent instruction in general subjects, aircraft systems, crew resource management, leadership, command, and mentorship, and support captain-upgrade leadership and command training.
- Collaborate with the training team to develop effective methodologies, serve as a subject-matter expert, improve courseware and training aids, follow the FAA-approved training syllabus, conduct simulator sessions under the training manual, maintain stakeholder communications, and lead or support assigned training projects and other duties from Flight Operations Management.
Requirements
- The posting prefers more than five years of airline or aviation instructor experience and more than five years as an FAR 121 or 135 pilot, or equivalent foreign-operation pilot experience.
- An ATP is preferred, although a commercial certificate with instrument and multi-engine ratings is also accepted.
- An A320 type rating is preferred, but an equivalent type is acceptable.
- Candidates should demonstrate strong instructing, facilitating, mentoring, communication, collaboration, judgment, professionalism, integrity, adaptability, problem-solving, initiative, and learning skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required, while proficiency with AI tools is preferred.
- The role requires availability for flexible training schedules and travel to other training centers, with domestic and international travel expected to remain under 30% of working time.
