About This Role
This professional Ground Instructor position is based at the Airbus India Training Centre in Gurugram, the 50:50 Airbus and Air India joint venture created to establish a major pilot-training centre in South Asia. The centre is intended to deliver A320 and A350 flight training to approximately 5,000 new pilots over 10 years. The role supports the centre's training operation by delivering initial and recurrent aeronautical ground instruction, supporting SFI and TRI training, developing training programmes, validating manuals and course materials, preparing other Ground Instructors, and reporting trainee performance concerns or achievements to the Chief Ground Instructor or Head of Flight Training.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver initial ground training in aeronautical knowledge areas required for the issuance of a type rating and other training in accordance with Airbus and Airbus affiliates Flight Training Manuals.
- Deliver recurrent ground training in aeronautical knowledge areas for the recurrent training of pilots and Ground Instructors.
- Provide ground training for SFI and TRI personnel.
- Train Ground Instructors to conduct initial, recurrent and transition training in accordance with the FCTP under the direction of the Chief Ground Instructor or Head of Flight Training.
- Assist with the development of training programmes, check the validation of training manuals and other course materials used in flight-training courses, and communicate concerns or exceptional achievements relating to trainee performance in a timely manner.
- Carry out other tasks assigned by the Chief Ground Instructor, Head of Flight Training or their designate.

Requirements
- Applicants must have a minimum of three years of experience as an approved Ground Instructor. Current Technical and Performance approvals on the Airbus A320 Family are mandatory. Candidates must either be engineering graduates or hold a graduate degree including Physics and/or Mathematics from a recognized board or university
- be qualified as a pilot, flight navigator, flight engineer, flight dispatcher or ATCO with at least two years of aviation work experience
- or be an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with at least three years of AME work experience. The position also requires excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, the ability to manage a team independently and plan and prioritize resources, high integrity and freedom from prejudice or bias, strong knowledge of regulations and industry best practices, active-listening ability, and enthusiasm for learning.
