About This Role
Northern Rivers Aero Club seeks an experienced flight instructor to lead general aviation training operations and serve as Head of Operations at their Lismore facility. The successful candidate will deliver flight training across multiple aircraft types while managing junior instructors and maintaining full compliance with CASA Part 141 standards. This casual, flexible-roster position offers the opportunity to develop and expand the club's training programs while mentoring the next generation of pilots.
Requirements
- Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) - Aeroplane
- Grade 1 Training Endorsements
- Valid CASA medical certificate
- Current Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- Full compliance with Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP)
- Deliver flight training in compliance with CASA Part 141 Manual of Standards
- Conduct ground theory instruction, pre-flight briefings, and post-flight debriefings
- Maintain student training files and administrative workflows
- Provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to junior instructors
- Flexible availability including weekends and public holidays
- Desirable: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), Multi-Engine Aeroplane Rating, Night VFR Rating, Flight Instructor Rating, Instrument Rating Training Endorsement, Flight Examiner Rating
