About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Global 6000 Captain for an operation at KPWK, Chicago Executive Airport, in Wheeling, Illinois. The Captain is responsible for safe and prudent flight operations, including reviewing aircraft maintenance status, conducting an Aircraft Flight Manual-compliant pre-flight inspection, checking weather and facilities along the route and at alternate airports, complying with Solairus procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, protecting passengers, crew, and aircraft, and completing trip paperwork accurately. The posting lists 3,000 hours total time, 1,500 PIC hours, 1,500 MEL hours, 500 MEL PIC hours, 500 turbojet hours, and 250 instrument hours, together with a Global 6000 or comparable type rating, first-class medical, on-call availability, annual ICAO international-procedures training, and residence within two hours of KPWK or willingness to relocate. It also states that crewmembers are paid $50,000 to $500,000 depending on geography, experience, aircraft and equipment, duties, training, and assigned account.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Global 6000 and for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner. Duties include reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status
- conducting a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- checking weather and facilities along the route and at the planned and alternate airports
- ensuring compliance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- ensuring the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.

Requirements
