About This Role
Pentastar Aviation is seeking a Captain to serve in a three-pilot crew conducting FAA Part 91 operations in a Gulfstream G500. The position is dual-qualified, with rotating Second-in-Command duties in a Pilatus PC-12 NGX. Based in Waterford, Michigan, the successful candidate must live within two hours of the base and can expect to fly approximately 300 hours per year.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safety of passengers and crew and for the comfortable, timely operation of the aircraft.
- Duties include supervising the flight crew, ensuring that flight and ground operations comply with FAA regulations, determining routes, speed, takeoff times, and landing times to meet scheduling requirements, and making operational decisions concerning delays, rerouting, and flight cancellations.
- The Captain may also perform other general department duties when not flying.
Requirements
- Applicants must hold an ATP Certificate and have a minimum of 4,000 hours of total flight time. Large-cabin Gulfstream experience, prior business aviation experience, and international experience are required. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an FAA First Class medical certification and manage changing work schedules. G500/G600 experience is highly desired
- a GVII type rating with prior experience on type is preferred, as is previous PC-12 NG/NGX and turboprop experience. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
