About This Role
Airbus's Miami Training Center provides flight and maintenance crew training for Airbus airline customers worldwide, primarily those based in the Americas. The 110,000-square-foot complex trains more than 2,000 cadets each year using six full-flight simulators, computer-based training classrooms, and cabin door and slide trainers for the A320, A330, A340, and A350 XWB families. Airbus Miami is seeking additional simulator instructors, with both full-time permanent and temporary part-time opportunities available.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver simulator training while adhering to Airbus Flight Training Operations policies and required standardization.
- Instruct trainees on the various training devices, evaluate crew progression, produce a written report and grade trainee performance at the end of each session, determine whether additional training is needed to achieve the desired proficiency level, and participate in improving and developing training documentation.

Requirements
- Applicants must be high-school graduates
- a BS or BA is considered ideal. Candidates must have three years of experience operating with an airline and must hold or have held an FAA ATP or a Commercial Instrument Rating, Multi-Engine with an Airbus aircraft. The posting ideally seeks an A320, A330, or A350 type rating, but does not make that rating mandatory. Required flight experience includes at least 4,000 hours total time, at least 1,500 hours in a jet-category aircraft, and at least 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command. Candidates must be able to teach, brief, and debrief in fluent English, have substantial simulator-instructor experience as an SFI or TRI on the A320, A330, or A350, and be able to write progress reports for submission to airlines or authorities. The safety-sensitive position is subject to FAA requirements, pre-employment drug testing, and random testing after hiring, including alcohol testing.
