About This Role
CAE is seeking an A320 Flight Simulator Instructor for its Mabalacat, Philippines operation. The instructor will deliver simulator and related theoretical training, monitor trainee progress, support remedial planning and disciplinary or academic review processes, and help maintain effective training standards, documentation, courseware, and operating procedures. The position is temporary on a fixed-term basis and requires substantial multi-crew jet transport PIC experience together with instructor qualifications and strong leadership and communication skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct training duties in accordance with the FSI job description and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Recommend revisions to SOPs when appropriate, and assist with preparing courseware and training materials, including theoretical examinations, to meet regulatory requirements.
- Monitor the progress of clients and students and, where necessary, develop action plans for those who are not progressing to the required standards.
- Promote and support improvements and enhancements to the processes, documentation, courseware, and training materials used by the ATO.
- Participate in Progress, Academic, and Disciplinary Review Boards and provide recommendations for remedial action concerning training progress or trainee disciplinary issues.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Lead Instructor or Head of Training (HOT).
Requirements
- Applicants must have a minimum of 1,500 hours as pilot-in-command (PIC) on a multi-crew jet transport and hold a valid Flight Instructor Rating or an equivalent rating or certification.
- Previous experience as a Flight Simulator Instructor or Type Rating Instructor and previous experience in airline or ATO training are preferred.
- Candidates must hold or have held an ICAO-recognized ATPL, CPL, or MPL and have at least ICAO English Level 5.
- The role also requires knowledge of civil aviation regulations governing civil aviation training, motivation, discipline, initiative, the ability to deliver results on time, and the ability to motivate others in a remote working environment.
- Candidates should have excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to build strong working relationships at all internal and external levels, proven leadership skills, and a record of effective work in multicultural environments.
- Basic IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications are required.
