About This Role
This full-time, direct-entry Flight Safety Pilot serves as Lufthansa Aviation Training's principal contact for flight-safety matters in Phoenix while also performing as a certificated flight instructor. The role supports safe flight operations, promotes an open and non-punitive reporting culture among instructors and students, and works with the Director of Safety, Security and Compliance on confidential reports, investigations, risk assessments, and root-cause analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the company with all matters concerning the safety of flight operations.
- Build trusted relationships with instructor pilots and students to strengthen Lufthansa Aviation Training's open, non-punitive safety culture.
- Perform as a CFI and serve as the first point of contact for safety-related matters.
- Alongside the Director of Safety, Security and Compliance, receive and process confidential safety reports and assist with investigations, risk assessments, and root-cause analysis.
- Perform other duties assigned or delegated by supervisors.

Requirements
- The qualifications block lists FAA CFI and CFII credentials and a Class 1 medical, while a bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Lufthansa Aviation Training flight instructor and experience with flight-safety reporting and investigations are also preferred.
