About This Role
Vectored Approach, a premier aviation company in Austin, TX, is seeking passionate CFI and CFII instructors to train the next generation of aviators on Cirrus aircraft. The company specializes in best-in-class flight instruction, aircraft maintenance, and charter services with state-of-the-art facilities and advanced training technology. Candidates must hold an FAA CFI/CFII certificate with a minimum of 1,000 total flight hours and 500 hours dual given, plus a valid 3rd class medical certificate. Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide flight and ground instruction under Part 61 and Part 141 regulations
- Prepare students for solo flight, knowledge tests, check rides, and license completion
- Maintain accurate training records and track student progress
- Deliver engaging and structured instruction for Private, Instrument, and Commercial pilot students
- Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight briefings focused on student growth
- Ensure all operations comply with FAA regulations and Vectored Approach SOPs
- Promptly report maintenance concerns and aircraft discrepancies
- Participate in instructor meetings, standardization sessions, and safety briefings

Requirements
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument (CFII) certificate
- Minimum 1,000 hours total flight time
- Minimum 500 hours dual instruction given
- Valid FAA medical certificate (3rd class or better)
- 50 hours PIC in Cirrus aircraft strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of FAA regulations, ACS/PTS standards, and aircraft systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Student-focused mindset
- Enthusiasm for mentoring pilots at all stages of training
