About This Role
Smart Flying School is seeking an experienced Flight Instructor for its Malinau operation. The instructor will deliver flight lessons and mentor students as they develop into safe, skilled, and professional pilots. The role operates in a professional training environment built around safety, discipline, continuous improvement, high standards of flight training, and ongoing instructor development.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach flight lessons and provide direct flight-training support to students.
- Mentor and guide students as they build the knowledge, skills, discipline, and professionalism required for future pilot careers.
- Contribute to the development of safe and capable pilots while maintaining the highest standards of flight training.
- Work collaboratively within a professional training environment where safety, discipline, and continuous improvement guide every operation.

Requirements
- Minimum qualifications include a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Rating, Ground Instructor Certificate (GIC), ICAO English Proficiency Level 4 or higher, a First Class Medical Certificate (Medex), and a minimum of 1,000 hours of PIC (Instruction) experience. Applicants must be non-smokers. Preferred qualifications include a valid Multi-Engine Land Rating, previous experience in a Part 141 Flight Training Organization, and strong communication and mentoring skills. Applicants must submit a CV or resume, CPL (Commercial Pilot License), and Medical Certificate (Medex)
