About This Role
Skyborne is seeking experienced Flight Instructors to join their aviation training academy based in Vero Beach, Florida. The company is an industry-leading flight training organization with state-of-the-art facilities and a mission to build better pilots for major airlines. Candidates must have a minimum of 1,500 hours total flight time and hold CFI, CFII, and MEI ratings, with unrestricted right to work in the USA. The position offers a competitive salary of $75,000 annually plus comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k), and generous PTO. Instructors will train highly motivated, hand-picked trainee pilots in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct flight training for independent and contract students as assigned
  • Deliver flight training in accordance with FARs and SAA course outlines or contract training courses
  • Teach ground training courses and contract training courses as assigned
  • Manage assigned students' training within syllabus and schedule
  • Maintain accurate logbook records for assigned students
  • Schedule students for stage checks in a timely manner
  • Maintain currency in all procedures and regulations
  • Maintain minimum 80% pass rate on stage checks
  • Complete annual recurrent instructor standardization per FAR 141
  • Complete periodic Line checks and Evaluation Flights as required
  • Promote safety culture and report aviation safety issues via feedback system
  • Perform other tasks assigned by Programme Manager, Chief Instructor, or Centre Director

Requirements
  • Minimum 1,500 hours total flight time
  • Valid CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) rating
  • Valid CFII (Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument) rating
  • Valid MEI (Multi-Engine Instructor) rating
  • Unrestricted right to work in the USA
  • First, Second, or Third Class Medical Certificate
  • Current with recency of experience per FAR 61.57
  • Effective communication skills with fluency in English (verbal and written)
  • Ability to interact with diverse student body
  • Pass drug screening and background check
  • TSA badging (if required for role)
