About This Role
Marshall University's Bill Noe Flight School is seeking a Certified Flight Instructor to provide student training and maintain quality instruction across their flight program. Located at Yeager Airport in Charleston, West Virginia, the flight school offers a Commercial Pilot bachelor's degree and FAA Part 141 training. The position requires a 4-year degree and compliance with FAA Part 61.195 requirements for flight instructors, with Part 141 certified flight instructor experience preferred. This 12-month clinical faculty position offers a competitive salary range of $38,722-$50,339 annually, comprehensive benefits including health insurance, tuition assistance, retirement plans, and 13 paid holidays plus generous leave (up to 24 days annual leave).
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide student flight training
  • Maintain quality instruction across the flight school
  • Maintain consistent record keeping
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Flight Instructor

Requirements
  • 4-year degree or in process of pursuing that degree
  • Meet applicable requirements of FAA Part 61.195
  • Valid Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate
  • Valid FAA medical certificate
  • Part 141 Certified Flight Instructor experience (preferred)
  • Ability to perform all essential job duties as outlined in job description
