About This Role
FlightSafety International, the world's premier professional aviation training company, is seeking Flight Instructors for their Orlando, FL training center. The company operates the world's largest fleet of advanced full-flight simulators and provides training to pilots from 167 countries. Instructors will deliver ground and simulator-based training to clients while maintaining FAA compliance and instructor qualifications. Candidates must hold an unrestricted ATP certificate and a minimum of one type rating, with 2,500 hours total flight time preferred. This position requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency due to export control regulations and potential government security clearance requirements.
Requirements
- Valid unrestricted ATP certificate or ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License
- If no ATP, must meet 14 CFR part 61.153 and 61.64 requirements without SOE limitation
- Minimum one unrestricted PIC type rating
- Must be able and willing to participate in DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices
- Knowledge of common aviation regulations
- Ability to manage classes and teach effectively
- First-level facilitation skills
- First-level customer service skills
- Ability to be coachable and receive feedback
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Ability to reach, exert pressure and manipulate rudder controls with both feet
- Ability to enter and exit simulator devices safely
Preferred Qualifications
- FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training experience
- 2,500 hours total flight time
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status (green card holder)
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearance
- Ability to comply with ITAR/EAR export control regulations
