About This Role
FlightSafety International, the world's premier professional aviation training company, seeks a Flight Instructor to deliver ground and simulator training at their Lafayette, Louisiana Learning Center. The role involves instructing pilots from around the world in core, specialty, and enrichment training courses while developing training materials and maintaining detailed records. Candidates must hold an unrestricted ATP certificate and at least one unrestricted PIC type rating, with preferred experience including FAR Part 121/135 or military training backgrounds. This position offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of professional aviators while maintaining compliance with FAA and ICAO standards.
Requirements
- Unrestricted ATP certificate or ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License
- Meet 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64 requirements without SOE limitation
- Minimum one unrestricted PIC type rating
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices
- Knowledge of common aviation regulations
- Ability to manage classes and teach effectively
- First-level facilitation skills
- First-level customer service skills
- Ability to be coachable and receive feedback
- Pass DOT Drug and Alcohol testing
- Valid U.S. work authorization
- U.S. Person status or eligibility for export authorization (ITAR/EAR compliance)
- Possible U.S. Government security clearance eligibility
- Physical ability to operate simulator controls and exit aircraft in emergency situations
- Valid vision and hearing abilities
