About This Role
FlightSafety International, the world's premier professional aviation training company, is seeking a Flight Instructor for their Moonachie, New Jersey location. The instructor will deliver comprehensive ground and simulator flight training to pilots from around the world, developing training materials and evaluating trainee progress. Candidates must hold an unrestricted ATP certificate or equivalent ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License with at least one unrestricted PIC type rating. With preferred experience of 2,500 hours total flight time and background in FAR Part 135, 121, or military training, this role combines aviation expertise with teaching excellence in a world-class training environment.
Requirements
- Valid unrestricted ATP certificate or ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License
- Minimum one unrestricted PIC type rating
- Compliance with 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64 (without SOE limitation)
- Ability to participate in DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices
- Knowledge of common aviation regulations
- Effective classroom management and teaching skills
- First-level facilitation skills
- First-level customer service skills
- Ability to receive feedback and be coachable
- Valid U.S. Person status or export authorization eligibility
- Potential U.S. Government security clearance eligibility
- Physical ability to operate simulator controls and exit equipment safely
- Valid close and distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision
