About This Role
FlightSafety International is seeking a Flight Instructor for their training facility in New Castle, Delaware. As the world's premier professional aviation training company, FlightSafety operates the largest fleet of advanced full-flight simulators and provides training to aviation professionals from 167 countries. The Flight Instructor will deliver ground and simulator instruction to pilots receiving core, specialty, or enrichment training courses. Candidates must hold an unrestricted ATP certificate, possess at least one unrestricted PIC type rating, and preferably have 2,500 total flight hours with FAR Part 121, 135, or military training experience. Requirements
- Valid unrestricted ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) certificate or ICAO equivalent
- Minimum one unrestricted PIC type rating
- Meet 14 CFR Part 61.153 and 61.64 requirements without SOE limitation
- Preferred: FAR Part 121 or Part 135 experience
- Preferred: Military training experience
- Preferred: 2,500 hours total flight time
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices
- Knowledge of common aviation regulations
- Ability to manage classes and teach effectively
- First-level facilitation skills
- First-level customer service skills
- Ability to be coachable and receive feedback
- Willingness to participate in DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program
- Physical ability to operate simulator controls and equipment
- Valid vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds frequently
- U.S. Person status or export authorization eligibility (may be required for ITAR/EAR compliance)
- Possible U.S. Government security clearance eligibility
