About This Role
Air India is seeking a Flight Instructor for its Flight Training Organisation in Amravati, Maharashtra. The instructor will support the CFI and Deputy CFI in maintaining training quality, curriculum standards, security, and safety across the FTO. The role combines practical flying instruction, flying simulator training, trainee progress monitoring, briefing and debriefing, programme coordination, documentation, regulatory currency, and timely completion of flight-reporting and eGCA responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Flight Instructor will support the CFI and DCFI in maintaining flight-training quality, curriculum standards, security, and safety. Duties include delivering flying instruction within the permitted privileges
- ensuring trainees receive quality training within the prescribed period
- monitoring trainee progress and working with the team to maintain safe flying operations
- planning, coordinating, and monitoring student-pilot programmes
- conducting long briefs, pre-flight briefs, post-flight debriefs, and other briefing or debriefing activities, including the use of FOQA analysis
- maintaining student flight reports and processing them on time
- assisting the CFI and DCFI with the development of student pilots' discipline and professional qualities
- conducting scheduled flying simulator training
- following FTO SOPs and standardized training practices
- keeping current with DGCA Regulations, TPM, SOP, and FOB revisions
- ensuring proper documentation before and after flying and simulator exercises
- and completing eGCA tasks within the required timeframe.
Requirements

- follow the approved syllabus and Training & Procedure Manual
- comply with the FTO's Standard Operating Procedures

- complete required pre- and post-flight or simulator documentation
- and complete eGCA tasks on time. The instructor must also support standardized, safe training practices and help maintain the required discipline and personal qualities of student pilots.
