About This Role
Cirrus Aircraft seeks a Flight Instructor 2 based in Alcoa, Tennessee to deliver learner-centric flight training to Cirrus customers in Cirrus SR and SF model airplanes following a structured syllabus. The instructor also acts as pilot in command on Part 91 corporate flight operations (demonstration, repositioning and post-maintenance flights) as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide flight and ground instruction to Cirrus standards
- conduct training events per program guidance
- assess pilot performance and keep meticulous training records
- recommend students for FAA written and practical tests
- act as pilot in command on corporate, ferry, internal-training and demonstration flights
- perform pre-/post-flight inspections
- and maintain deep Cirrus aircraft knowledge.

Requirements
- One year pilot experience
- 350 dual-given hours or 250 hours in Cirrus aircraft
- current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (CFII) Airplane Single-Engine Instrument
- FAA Commercial Pilot certificate Airplane Single-Engine Land Instrument
- current Second-Class Airman Medical or higher
Preferred Qualifications
- experience in IFR/congested airspace, mountain flying, extensive IMC, international and night flight.
