About This Role
Westair Group of Companies is seeking skilled and experienced C208 pilots based in Windhoek. The role involves safely operating company aircraft, protecting the comfort and safety of passengers and crew, coordinating with other operational personnel, maintaining flight records, and completing ongoing training, with extensive periods of travel throughout Africa.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate aircraft in compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards.
- Conduct pre-flight inspections and review flight plans and weather conditions.
- Communicate with air traffic control, navigate during flight, perform take-offs and landings, and manage aircraft systems and controls.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies to protect safety.
- Collaborate with co-pilots, cabin crew, and ground personnel to support smooth flight operations.
- Maintain accurate flight-activity records, comply with reporting requirements, and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements
- Applicants must hold a valid CPL and a valid C208 type rating.
- They must have at least 800 hours of total flight time, 500 hours total PIC, and 25 hours PIC on the C208.
- Candidates must be willing to travel throughout Africa for extensive periods of 6–12 weeks.
- Preference will be given to Namibian citizens.
