About This Role
Full-time on-site Flight Captain role at ValueJet based in Lagos, Nigeria. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, ensuring compliance with all aviation regulations and company policies.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Daily tasks include pre-flight planning, conducting safety checks, coordinating with the flight crew, and navigating the aircraft.
- The Flight Captain is also responsible for handling in-flight emergencies, maintaining communication with air traffic control, and delivering exceptional passenger service.
Requirements
- Candidates must have: Qualified on either CRJ Series and Q400 or B737NG
- Possess an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a minimum of 4000 flight hours
- Minimum 1000 flight hours as Pilot in Command (PIC)
- Strong leadership and teamwork abilities
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Comprehensive understanding of aviation regulations and safety procedures
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Capability to work under pressure and handle emergencies calmly
- Proficiency in using aircraft navigation and communication systems
- Experience in operating modern aircraft and advanced understanding of flight operations.
