About This Role
Summit Air is recruiting Flight Attendants for its Vancouver (YVR) operation, supporting passenger charters, cargo transport, and customized aviation solutions across Canada’s North. The role is responsible for passenger safety, emergency assistance, cabin service, reporting, and maintaining an orderly aircraft environment. Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft by following Company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct pre-flight safety checks, demonstrate safety procedures, monitor the cabin for signs of distress, and assist passengers during emergencies including evacuations and medical emergencies.
- Welcome passengers, provide a comfortable and friendly onboard environment, assist with seating, serve food and beverages, maintain cabin cleanliness and orderliness, and ensure adequate commissary stock is available for the next shift or flight.
- Complete and submit required safety reports, including SMS reports, help maintain the general orderliness of the aircraft, and assist with the on-time departure of every operated flight.
Requirements
- Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
- Previous Flight Attendant experience is an asset but is not required.
- Candidates must stay current and trained on relevant aircraft, be able to obtain a Transport Canada security clearance, and be comfortable working in confined spaces and at high altitudes in a pressurized cabin.
- The role includes three to four weeks of initial training in Calgary, Alberta, and requires 24/7 availability during the week.
