About This Role
United Airlines, the largest airline in the world with the most expansive network, is recruiting Flight Attendants fluent in both English and Greek for their seven hub locations across the United States. This entry-level position requires candidates to be at least 21 years old with one year of customer service experience and a valid passport. Applicants will complete 6.5 weeks of training in Houston, TX with a weekly stipend of $140, accommodations, and meals provided, followed by assignment to one of United's major bases. The position offers industry-leading pay starting at $37.10/hour with progression to $100.13/hour by 2030, comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), flight privileges, and a $1,000 training completion bonus, along with opportunities for additional compensation based on language skills and international assignments.

Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age at time of application
- High school graduate or GED (2 or more years of college preferred)
- At least one year of customer service experience in service industry
- Fluent in English (speak, read, write, and understand)
- Fluent in Greek (read and speak)
- Ability to speak clearly and loudly enough to be heard in emergency
- Ability to hear all types and ranges of sound
- Professional appearance with excellent grooming standards
- Willing to follow uniform, hair, tattoo, and piercing guidelines
- No tattoos on head, hands, fingers, or neck (including back of neck and behind ear)
- Visible tattoos on arms, wrists, legs, feet only - maximum credit card size (3.5 x 2.24 inches)
- Tattoos must not be offensive, violent, obscene, sexual, racist, or contain objectionable content
- No decorative covers, adornments, or jewelry on teeth or in mouth
- Ability to proficiently operate electronic devices
- Valid passport prior to application with at least 12 months validity remaining
- Current physical possession of valid U.S. or foreign passport with applicable visas
- Passport must be in good condition with at least two consecutive blank pages
- Ability to travel to and from all countries United serves without restrictions
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, and lift heavy objects
- Ability to pass functional reach assessment with 76-inch vertical and 43.5-inch horizontal reach simultaneously
- Ability to sit in jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willing to work flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, holidays, 24/7 availability
- Willing to complete evacuation drill in water (pool) during training
- Willing to complete pre-employment DOT drug screen
- Willing to complete comprehensive background checks and fingerprinting
- Willing to complete vision and hearing tests
- Must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens
- Must pass 10-year background check with no prohibitive criminal history
- Hearing loss in better ear not greater than 40 dB
- Each eye 20/40 or better corrected for both far and near vision
- No medical or recreational marijuana use
