About This Role
Global Crossing Airlines is hiring experienced full-time Flight Attendants in Miami to deliver safe, professional onboard service and support the airline's customer experience. The role includes four weeks of initial new-hire training, required inflight and recurrent training, preflight safety and aircraft checks, passenger boarding assistance, and meal and beverage service. Flight Attendants must be prepared for reserve duty, extensive travel, overnight assignments, weekends, holidays, overtime, and periods away from base.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Flight Attendants fulfill directives from the lead Flight Attendant, serve customers professionally and efficiently, and represent the GlobalX brand with integrity.
- They attend preflight briefings and conduct preflight checks, including inspecting emergency equipment and aircraft supplies, confirming catering, checking the aircraft's general condition and cleanliness, and inspecting lavatories for cleanliness and FAA compliance.
- They prepare the aircraft for passengers, greet customers, verify boarding passes and seat assignments, assist with carry-on baggage stowage and security, and prepare and serve meals and beverages.
- They explain and demonstrate safety equipment and procedures, enforce safety regulations, maintain an uncompromising focus on safety while providing customer service, and perform other safety- and compliance-related duties.
- The role also requires adaptability under stress, a positive attitude while on duty, compliance with attendance, grooming, and uniform standards, and readiness to work reserve schedules, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and extended periods away from base.
Requirements
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or able to obtain all visas and permits needed to fly to any country required by GlobalX. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and have at least two years of customer service experience
- an associate degree is preferred. Applicants must complete the four-week initial new-hire training and the required initial and annual recurrent inflight training, meet the aircraft cabin height requirements, satisfy all FAA regulatory requirements for the jump seat, and be able to swim with the assistance of a life vest. Excellent English communication skills are required, including the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English. Candidates must be able to work reserve duty and varying schedules that include evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and extensive travel. They must maintain a professional appearance, have no visible tattoos or piercings, pass a ten-year background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check, and be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including frequently lifting or moving up to 50 pounds and pushing a cart weighing up to 250 pounds.
