About This Role
Eastern Air Express is seeking service-oriented Flight Attendants for AZA, ELP, and MIA who can maintain the company's values and culture while working with colleagues and customers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The position combines passenger service with safety-critical responsibilities, including aircraft preparation, regulatory compliance checks, safety demonstrations, emergency response, first aid, and required reporting. Candidates need an open and available schedule, must live within two hours of the listed stations, and must be prepared for variable duty blocks, extended periods away from base, nights, weekends, holidays, and initial Flight Attendant training.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Flight Attendants participate in preflight briefings, produce reports, conduct safety checks, and prepare the aircraft. They ensure food, beverages, and other supplies are sufficiently stocked and appropriately delivered, collecting payment or documenting inventory for restocking when applicable. Passenger-facing duties include making announcements, greeting customers, checking boarding passes, answering questions, assisting with baggage stowage, and helping passengers who require assistance. They perform safety demonstrations, explain emergency equipment and exit-row requirements, use audio equipment, and walk the aisles to verify compliance with federal regulations before takeoff and landing while conducting periodic comfort checks. They prepare passengers and the aircraft for landing in accordance with company procedures and federal regulations. During in-flight emergencies, they provide passengers with direction and assistance, administer emergency first aid, and complete injury or incident reports. They also complete and submit required forms, reports, and paperwork, treat customers and vendors courteously and respectfully, and perform other assigned responsibilities.
Requirements
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and hold a valid US passport that will not expire within six months. They must be at least 21 years old, have a high school diploma, GED, or higher qualification, and provide at least 18 days of availability per month. They must speak, read, write, and understand English fluently; be able to serve alcoholic beverages and travel to Canada; and maintain valid travel documents without impediments to entry at any international destination. Customer service experience is required, while hospitality or retail experience is preferred. Candidates must pass drug and alcohol checks, a pre-employment DOT drug test, and a Criminal History Records Check, maintain a personal cell phone, and successfully complete Initial Flight Attendant training and Operational Experience. Physical requirements include lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds and standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, stretching, or bending for periods of 14 hours or more. Applicants must be able to work variable monthly duty blocks, potentially for extended periods, and be away from their home base on nights, weekends, and holidays. They must maintain a polished, professional, conservative appearance, with no visible tattoos or body piercings while on duty, and must live within two hours of MIA, ELP, and AZA.
