About This Role
Avelo Airlines is hiring full-time Flight Attendants in Concord, NC to join its safety and service team for a low-fare airline. The role combines in-flight safety, emergency response, regulatory compliance, customer service, onboard sales, and cooperation with flight and operational crews. Scheduled service consists of local day trips with no overnights, although charter and reserve assignments may require multiple days away from home.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Flight Attendants are responsible for the safety, security, welfare, and comfort of customers and crewmembers, responding safely and effectively to in-flight emergencies, supporting smooth and efficient aircraft and flight-schedule operations, and completing incident and safety reports on time.
- They create a caring customer experience from boarding through deplaning, act as Avelo brand ambassadors, handle onboard customer issues and find creative resolutions, follow Federal Aviation Regulations and all applicable laws and procedures, attend required training, maintain their qualifications, and keep current with the Inflight Service Manual, Flight Attendant Playbook, OneCrew Way Handbook, revisions, bulletins, and tablet updates.
- They also build customer loyalty by cooperating with operational crewmembers and Avelo leadership, treat every customer with kindness and respect, support onboard service, sales, and revenue-generating initiatives, and serve as customer service, marketing, and public relations ambassadors.
Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have reliable transportation, and be able to report to their assigned location within two hours. Candidates must complete all Avelo Flight Attendant training requirements, accept a base assignment and relocate at their own expense after training, and work rotating schedules with variable hours of up to 16-hour duty days, including nighttime or overnight hours, weekends, holidays, and multiple days away from home. The role requires a neat, professional appearance in accordance with Avelo's uniform and appearance guidelines, compliance with DOT, FAA, and Avelo drug and alcohol rules for safety-sensitive transportation employees, and the ability to serve all types of food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages. Applicants must maintain a working telephone number, keep their residential address current with the company, and possess a valid United States passport or a foreign passport with applicable visas, with at least six months of validity remaining. They must be able to travel freely into and out of the United States, including Canada and all cities served by Avelo, understand, speak, read, and write English fluently, perform the duties in the Avelo Inflight Services Manual, Flight Attendant Playbook, and Company safety manuals, and be legally authorized to work in the United States. Physical requirements include vision of at least 20/40 with glasses or contact lenses
