About This Role
Austrian Airlines is hiring Flight Attendants (all genders) as a direct entry role based at its Vienna homebase, with training provided before starting. Cabin crew deliver a warm, high-quality hospitality and safety experience on board, from welcome to landing, and present and sell the airline's onboard Austrian Melangerie catering. The position is offered on part-time or block part-time employment models, with development paths toward trainer and onboard leadership roles.
Duties & Responsibilities
- As Austrian Airlines cabin crew based in Vienna, you create a memorable travel experience for guests with charming hospitality and a confident presence, from the warm welcome to the safe landing.
- You ensure the highest safety and service standards on board by properly carrying out all check and emergency procedures and by caring for guests' wellbeing at all times.
- You delight guests with the culinary offerings of the Austrian Melangerie, presenting and selling them with charm.
- There are opportunities to develop further, from becoming a trainer through to an onboard leadership role.
Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old, warm, charming and enjoy working in a team.
- You need to have completed your Matura (secondary-school leaving certificate), an apprenticeship or comparable vocational training.
- You should enjoy acting as a host and approach challenges in an open, creative way.
- You must hold an EU passport or have unrestricted access to the Austrian labour market.
- You must be a confident swimmer, including without aids.
- You need to be able to reach Vienna Airport within 90 minutes when on standby duty, and be flexible and comfortable with irregular shift and duty times.
- You must speak very good German (minimum C1 level) and English (minimum B2 level), enjoy selling and have a strong flair for sales.
- Austrian male citizens must have completed their compulsory military or civilian service.
