About This Role
PHI Health is seeking a First Officer for Learjet 31A airplane air ambulance operations in Kansas City. The role serves as the SIC in a two-pilot IFR crew supporting 24-hour medical transport missions, including day and night rotations, patient and equipment handling, safety management, and customer service. The position offers a 7-and-7 schedule, a sign-on bonus of up to $50,000, competitive pay and incentive programs, and a relocation package subject to service commitments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the Learjet 31A SIC in two-pilot, IFR airplane air ambulance operations under CAMTS guidelines, supporting 24-hour day and night rotations and life-saving medical transport missions.
- Perform line pilot duties in accordance with the GOM, support the Safety Management System, Destination Zero, and other company safety campaigns, and provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service to internal and external customers.
- Participate in community outreach programs, adhere to PHI Air Medical policies, and assist with loading and unloading patients and equipment, including the required lifting activities.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold an ATP for airplane, multi-engine land operations and a First Class Medical. The stated SIC qualifications are 2,000 total airplane hours, 1,000 hours PIC, 500 hours as PIC in multi-engine turbine airplanes, and 100 hours of night experience. Candidates must have strong internal and external communication and customer-service skills, complete an interview and receive acceptance from customer and PHI management, and be able to live within a one-hour commute of the base. Preference is given to pilots currently assigned to the Kansas City Children's Mercy Program. The successful candidate must meet the listed medical and occupational-health requirements, including tuberculosis screening, required Varivax and MMR vaccinations or positive titers, tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis immunization, hepatitis B vaccination and titer where applicable, annual flu vaccination, and Covid vaccination. The pilot must comply with the company flight-personnel weight limit of 235 pounds or less and pass a pre-placement physical and functional-capacity examination, including the ability to lift 100 pounds to assist with loading and unloading patients and equipment, as well as drug and background screening. If aircraft transition is required, a minimum one-year service commitment applies
